Bhaktapur, the city of the faithful, also known under the name of Bhadgaon, conceived in the IX century by the king Ananda Malla who gave it the shape of Vishnou’s meditation horn. The main axis of the city takes the shape of a double S in the east-west direction, which opens here and there on squares bordered by temples, sanctuaries and hiti (fountains).
